Technical SEO

Key pages load fast on mobile (Largest Contentful Paint under 2.5 seconds in PageSpeed Insights).

Your important pages show as indexed in Google Search Console.

Each page has one clean HTTPS address, with no duplicate versions.

An XML sitemap is submitted and lists only live, indexable pages.

Commercial pages

Each core service has its own page.

Your main buyer types or industries have their own pages.

Location pages exist only where you really serve clients.

You publish pricing or honest cost guidance.

Conversion paths

Every key page has one clear next step.

Forms are short and were tested on mobile in the last 30 days.

Leads reach your CRM with their source recorded.

Booking a call takes two clicks or fewer.

Content

You answer buyers’ real questions: cost, comparisons and how-to.

Key content was reviewed or updated in the last 12 months.

Articles show a named author with real expertise.

Guides link to the matching service pages, and back.

Trust and proof

You have case studies with measurable results.

Client logos or testimonials appear with permission.

You have recent reviews on Google, G2, Clutch or similar.

Your About page shows the real people behind the firm.

AI search readiness

You checked what ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity say about your firm in the last 90 days.

Your name, services and locations match across your site, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile and directories.

Structured data (Organization, Service, FAQ) matches what each page says.

Your robots.txt does not block AI crawlers by accident.

Fix these first

A self-assessment to guide priorities, not an audit. It does not measure rankings or traffic.

Want a copy?

Optional. We send the results and one short follow-up. No newsletter.

How it works

Six areas, equally weighted.

Each check scores 2 for yes, 1 for partly and 0 for no or not sure.

01Answer honestly

Not sure counts as a gap. If you cannot check something, that is worth knowing.

02See each area

Every area gets its own score, so you can see where the gaps cluster.

03Get three fixes

The three weakest areas show the first fix to make and where to learn more.

04Repeat quarterly

Run it again after changes to see whether the gaps are closing.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Plain answers about how this tool works.

Is this scorecard an SEO audit?

No. It is a quick self-assessment to help you prioritize. A real audit looks at crawl data, rankings, content and analytics in detail.

How is the score calculated?

Each of the 24 checks scores 2 for yes, 1 for partly and 0 for no or not sure. Your total is shown as a percentage of the maximum.

Why does not sure count as zero?

If nobody on the team can confirm something, it is probably not being managed. It is worth checking.

Who should fill it in?

Ideally whoever owns the website with input from sales. Sales often knows which pages and questions really matter to buyers.

Is my answer data stored?

No. The score is worked out in your browser. We only receive it if you choose to email yourself the results.

How often should we use it?

Once a quarter is enough. Use it after big site changes to check that nothing important slipped.
